Thanks for joining us at this site! Our objective of setting this up is to continue the great work that Steve did and preserve as much history as we can.
A couple things have changed from the previous forum:
- Your username and password from the previous site will not work on this site, you will have to register with a new username and password. The first post that you make on the site will need to be approved by an administrator, but after that posts will automatically show up on the site.
- We have reduced the number of forums, as our focus was on the disease and the treatments, so off topic forums have not been brought over. If you miss a particular forum that you found useful, send a PM to Chris Moss or JCreager and we can review it.
- You notice there is no longer four buttons at the top, this new version of phpBB has moved those features to the 'Quick Links' drop down menu which shows New Posts (since your last visit, so all unread) or Active Topics (recent posts, including ones you may have read already).
- One change that might be disconcerting to us is that the text editor works differently than our previous forum. When you embed a Smilie or use the formatting buttons at the top, this editor will embed the HTML instead of the formatting. To see what your post will look like, click the Preview button at the bottom.
